I used "il a goûté des escargots," but the correct answer was listed as " il a goûté les escargots." Is that correct, and if yes, why?

de/des before adjectiveFrom the week 71 A1 writing challenge: "She likes eating salad and also small tomato pieces" -> "Elle aime bien manger de la salade et aussi DES petits morceaux de tomate". I had expected "..et aussi DE petits morceaux.." Isn't there a rule that 'des' loses its s when there is an adjective before the noun?

I have seen other French learning apps that ask questions by saying: Où est-ce que vous allez?

Which is correct: "Où vous allez?" OR "Où est-ce que vous allez?"?

If both are correct, when is one used over the other?

Do I not need to use ‘y’ as it means “to arrive there’? ‘mais j’y suis arrivée’? Please explain. Thanks.

Marrons, marrons d'Inde

Les marrons are sweet chestnuts; horse chestnuts, popularly known as conkers, are marrons d'Inde. They are of a similar appearance but from different trees. Also, I wouldn't recommend eating horse chestnuts.
