Bonjour Madame,

I was attempting this quiz on this link- https://progress.lawlessfrench.com/my-languages/french/tests/take/1768714 but was unable to get the last sentence.

- Alors nous devons compter sur ceux qui se battent à nos côtés et que je suis fier d’appeler mes collègues.

Why ‘que’ has been used? Can’t dont be used to mean ‘of whom’?

Reliable Online Full-Text Translation

Hello All,

This is a general query and not to do with Kwizbot particularly. I've just this morning begun to write a daily journal in French and wish to check it's English translation. I just used a well-known site, R*****o (just in case one cannot name names) and was very disappointed in the translations. For example, 'petit-dejeuner' resulted in 'little-lunch' instead of 'breakfast' :-( And if I had taken it any further? I shudder to think!

To my question: does anyone know of a reliable service that can deal with large tracts of text?

Quiz question - is it correct?Kwiziq suggests that all the following are good answers: Le garçon dont tu parles s'appelle Thomas. Le garçon duquel tu parles s'appelle Thomas. Le garçon de qui tu parles s'appelle Thomas. I believe only the first is correct. I don't think you use use duquel for human beings and It cannot be de qui because it does not make sense because of the pronoun.

I was taught that adjectives that precede the noun are used with a 'de' and not 'des'. Why is there a difference in the usage of 'des bons moments' and 'de bons souvenirs'?
