Hi, I live in Québec and I've been here for quite a while now. Whenever people want to refer to lunch here, they use dîner. Déjeuner is used to mean breakfast, and souper is used to mean lunch. The test said I was wrong when I translated lunch as dîner and I understand that since in France it means a completely different mealtime. Just wanted to post this so that others could be aware of the different vocabulary we use in Québec, since it was really confusing to me for a long time.

Il faut qu'ils sachent conduireJust to test it. Is the rule as follows. If these verbs are preceded with something like il faut subjuntive, if not and positive, indicative, if not and negative subjunctive, subjunctive? Eg il faut qu'ils sachent conduire, ils savent conduire, ils ne sachent pas conduire. Correct or not please?

Why 'avoir' instead of 'etre' before 'raison'I saw in one of the examples the following sentence. Je crois que mon ami a raison. why is 'a' used before 'raison'. Shouldn't it be 'est' if we speak literally?

When to use Futur Simple and Futur Antérieur?

Hello,

I learnt in another lesson that after "Quand" usually + Futur simple (Quand/pendant que + future tense (Le Futur Simple) - not the present tense = When/while I do something in the future (Sequence of Tenses in French) ), but in this lesson it is + Futur Antérieur. So how do you know when to + which tense?

Or are there cases where they can be used interchangeably?
