why passé composé is used here instead of present tense?
j' habite au India
j' habite `a Pune.
The sentence is: he loves his Mum. How the hell is "aime" right and "aime beaucoup" wrong, especially given the inanity of "aime bien" meaning not "LOVE" but "LIKE"?
Just when I thought I had all this sorted ! In an English novel about a house in France, there are two old derelict buildings one formerly housed pigs and the other was formerly used for making bread. They nick named the first one la maison de cochons and the other la maison du pain. Why the de / du and not just de for both since they are just names ?

Isn't the rule that it's l' if it sounds like it starts with a vowel, not that it actually does?
For instance, «dans l'Hérault» is the correct form, but the rules in this lesson incorrectly state «dans le Hérault».
