Just a question about the mood here : I would have preferred to see le fait que followed by the indicative here, as it is expressing a certainty, not something uncertain/ a supposition.

Opinions anyone ?

What time do you leave for work?
À quelle heure est-ce que tu pars au travail ?

How much different would it be to ask:
What time do you leave work?

I've never really understood when to use "en" even with the lessons but with this sentence in particular, why are we using it? I know it's "finir de faire qch" but why is it needed and how do I know when to use it?

I seem to recall that when using the subjunctive in English we would use "may." I don't see "may" used in any of the English translations. Is my understanding of the use of "may" out of date or just plain wrong? Thanks!

I know the following wording may be a bit unusual but can you use this phrasing in a sentence as follows:

I do not much want to speak to them. Would it be "je ne veux pas grand chose leur parler ? OR  Je ne veux pas leur parler grand-chose.

Can we say nous faisons un gâteau???/

Vous faites un gâteau !!!?
