Hello -
For "We are leaving at 4", I chose, "Nous quittons à quatre heures" instead of "Nous partons à quatre heures", because the lesson says partir must be followed by de or pour when it is not used on its own. Why is "Nous partons à quatre heures" correct? And why is "Nous quittons à quatre heures" wrong?
I ai utilisé "se réunir" au lieu de "se retrouver" ou "se rejoindre" mais ce choix n'était pas accepté ? Pourquoi ?
Why can't it be "aux fêtes" since the sentence is "at parties"?
Why is it "après-midis entières" and not "entiers" since "midi" is masculine?
I encountered these two sentences in a language learning tool:
"J'ai voulu être un écrivain célèbre toute ma vie"
"J'ai toujours rêvé d'être un joueur de golf professionnel"
I'd like to know the reason why Passé Composé is used rather than L'imparfait.
And also, why "un joueur" is used despite the fact that we don't use indefinite articles when talking about professions?
Thanks a lot.
In the dictation exercise Travailler en équipe (B1), in the audio of the phrase, "En effet, la diversité des points de vue qui s'expriment", the "qui" is not audible.
I don't quite understand why "était" (imperfect) is used with "depuis." Is that because it is not longer his dream? Is is because the dream has been fulfilled? This dream does not continue?
two rows of white teeth.
I wrote
"deux rangées des dents blanche"
but the answer is
"deux rangées de dents blanche"
Why is "de dents" instead of "des dents"?
