questions not completed....In this Kwiz, you state that I did not answer two questions, no 7 and no 8.
But I have a screenshot of my answers, showing that I DID answer them and had both correct.
This seems a bit unfair. I really got 8/10.
The other question I have is about question 1 (time duration). I got "Phileas Fogg avait un jour d'avance." right, using "avoir".
You state that your answer of "Phileas Fogg Ă©tait en avance d'un jour" (using "ĂŞtre" is correct, but in the lesson, it says that the correct cuse of "Ă©tre" is: Phileas Fogg Ă©tait un jour en avance.Â
So, I think that your "étre" construction is wrong.
Thanks. Please comment by email.

How are we to guess at correct punctuation? Unless you can remember the entire speech, it is sometimes difficult to tell whether a section should end with a comma, a period or an exclamation point. (And, actually, the sentence beginning "Paul va prendre sa voiture..." is a declarative sentence and not a question.) I have not been counting myself off where such punctuation is concerned because there seems to be no definite way to determine what the correct punctuation should be.
Hello! Does anyone know a way to restart the brainmap? I had Kwiziq premium in 2020 and was able to nearly complete the brainmap for French but then I stopped. Now it's been five years. I repurchased premium but would prefer a blank slate since I have forgotten a lot. Does anyone know the answer?
I used j'aimerai and it was marked incorrect with j'adorai offered instead. I read the associated grammar lesson but I'm still not clear on why both are not acceptable?
In one of the examples 'this land' is referred to as 'cette contrée' rather than 'ce pays'
Le chevalier fut amené devant le roi de cette contrée par les gardes
Could you please explain this usage to me? Thank you
Bonjour!
Julie arrive en retard tous les jours. ÂCan we say: 'Julie est arrive en retard tous les jours'?Â
Why can't you use ça est? You correct this to ça c'est.

Bonjour, si vous veuillez, expliquer svp pourquoi il n’y a pas le subjonctif dans la phrase : Avant tout, il est primordial que vous identifiez au préalable
Merci beaucoupÂ
Hello - just wanted to let you know that one of the titles says "prepositionals phrases" - probably just a mistranslation from French into English:)
I'm very familiar with the expression, "faire le menage". I chose to write "faire le nettoyage" to see if it would be accepted and it was marked wrong. The alternative phrase given was, "...mon marie et mois allons nettoyer..."
Larousse defines "nettoyer" as a transitive verb in which case doesn't "nettoyer" need a direct object? In that case, is "L'apres-midi mon mari et moi allons nettoyer et nos enfants vont ranger leurs chambres" correct? Don't you need to say "...mon mari et moi allons nettoyer la maison..."?
In English, the verb, "to clean" is both transitive and intransitive which differs from the French.
Merci et Bonne Continuation
