Just wondering why the passé composé is used in this phrase. Thanks for your response.
The written piece says "tellement d'endroits", which was marked wrong when I wrote it. Acceptable were: "tant d'endroits" or "tellement de lieux". Are they all correct?
Why is the correct answer « fusilier » not « tirailleur »?

I found this very difficult and frustrating. Some of the words I thought I needed were not in my dictionary or were very different from what I expected: Silicon was translated to be silicium (!); liposuction was nowhere to be found. I don't recall having see the expression "couter les yeux et la tete" before (although there is some faint recollection of it). Poser, used I think in its possible form, is to install, but not a term I would have associated with breast implants. I think I need MUCH more information and education in current terminology to feel any success with this translations. How do I get this????? Help, please!!
Asked to translate, “L’Oréal are selling a new product,” the correct answer given is “L'Oréal vend un nouveau produit” I assume that this product is new on the market, in other words a new creation. Why then is the correct answer not, “produit neuf”?
What preposition should we use for:
1) city
2)country
If there are any exception pls mention them.
I’m not sure here why souhaite ends with an ‘e’ when it’s prefixed by a vous? Is it irregular?

In the following example, I am struggling to understand why we must use la and not lui? To me, it sounds like the sentence requires an indirect object pronoun, because the question "What" is not answered in response to the "must", which is the verb in this sentence. I use the "what" test to determine if there is a direct object in the sentence. With this sentence, should I consider "what must they warn" as my question, or "what must they do". Apologies if my line of thought is completely skewed but it seems to work in most cases.
