Imparfait vs passé composé"Même si j'ai parfois hésité",... should this be imparfait since it is a case of a repeated action. It seems that the word parfois indicates it was more than a single hesitation.

L'année dernière, j'ai été vraiment malade vs L'année dernière, j'étais vraiment malade(re-posting as as new question) Bonjour Aurélie ! Thank you very much for taking the time to respond, That's very helpful. May I please clarify to ensure I understand? So the use of Le Passé Composé draws attention to a specific instance or time when the speaker was sick last year - for example, if during the month of February s/he had been very ill and was referring to this, it would be correct to say L'année dernière, j'ai été vraiment malade. However, if the speaker is referring more generally to having been ill, perhaps even on several different occasions throughout the year and not drawing attention to a specific occasion of being ill, it would be correct to use L'année dernière, j'étais vraiment malade. Can it be said that Le Passé Composé is more likely to be used to draw attention to the sickness, whereas the use of L'Imparfait might be used if one were drawing attention to the nature of last year rather than particularly drawing attention to the sickness? I know it's a different question, but could you also please let me know if it is acceptable to say: j'ai été mangé (I have been eating) - and whether it is a common construction in French. Nous avons reçu les invitées hier ou nous avons eu les invitées hier?Quel est la réponse correcte? Je ne pense pas qu'on puisse se servir (utiliser) le verbe avoir dans ce cas. D'habitude, je reçois les invitées, n'est-ce pas?

Habits/Vêtements

I put in (for "I wear warm clothes") "Je porte des habits chauds,". It corrected me with "Je m'habille chaudement". However, I saw in the possible answers there was "Je mets des habits chauds". Is the object ("habits ou vêtements) dependent on the verb ("porter ou mettre)?

Quelques ou plusieurs?

Wasn't sure which forum to ask this question as it relates to a different topic but this is the attached forum so I'll ask it here:

The statement and translation :

J’ai un cheveu blanc. – Non, tu as plusieurs cheveux blancs !

I have one white hair. – No, you have a few white hairs!

In this example the word ‘plusieurs’ was used to mean ‘a few’ but in the lesson “Quelques, plusieurs, de nombreux = A few, several, many (quantities), ‘plusieurs’ means several and quelques means ‘a few’. Is there a nuance in usage here?
