I’m having trouble figuring out why it’s je me fais FAIRE de nouvelles sandales. In other similar constructions, il se fait couper les cheveux, FAIRE isn’t necessary yet the meaning is similar in that they both are having something done. What am I missing?

Why is the indirect object pronoun required with this expression?The verb aller does not require à so the direct object pronoun seems more correct. Also the direct object pronoun seems even more correct in the negative, when the clothing does not suit someone. Thanks.

Why does the second person (tu) lose the 's' in the imperative? Tu t'en vas? / Va-t'en!

I'm stuck with when 'lui' means he *or* she ...... and times when lui only means he and I must use elle for she. 'I speak of her' in a recent test used 'elle', which I thought should have been 'lui..'
