1. Why is the tense different if you use "dès que" vs "aussitôt que"? In the text: Dès que nous étions rentrés de l'école (PC) Vs Aussitôt que nous étions de retour (Imparfait)?

2. Couldn't one say "Entre tous les joeux..." instead of parmi or de? Or is it "entre" only used when referring to two things (like between vs among)?

The use of "de" truly escapes me. In this exercise, why does the "de" after "profiter des jouets" becomes "des" but in "plateau de fruits de mer" it does not? I thought that when the structure requires a "de" (as in profiter de qch or beaucoup de), the "de" didn't change to du or des (like un plauteau de qch), whereas when it doesn't require it, you use it like "some" and it does change to agree with the noun (like here with commander qch becomes "commander des pizzas").

Why was "préférerais" marked wrong when it is what I believe to be the conditional, i.e. second "e" has an acute accent not a grave as you has said.

To describe "Snow falls" ot just "Heavy snowfall", which verb should we use:

tomber or chuter?

What are the subtle or not-so-subtle differences between these two verbs?

I carried out a test where I entered the complete text word by word until it was fully typed. I didn’t make any mistakes during the process, as I wanted to understand how the scoring system worked. However, even after completing it correctly, I still received a score of 0 out of 60. Could you please explain to me in more detail how the scoring works?
