My instinct was to put a 'de' in front of 'differents' in this sentence. Can I do it?

Why does the first sentence " - Sophie, when you were in sixth form [US: high school]," translate to - Sophie, quand tu étais au lycée - there is no mention of the "sixth form".

In this sentence, something feels off to me. To denote "to bear/stand something to the end", shouldn't we say (supporter quelque chose) jusqu'à la fin?
