Hello, I answered a questions that asked what the "Low Countries" were as "Les Pays-bas" which I learned in my French class, were the combination of The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium. But the correct answer was The Netherlands event though the verb was "ont" and not "a" and the Netherlands is a single country. Could you tell me what the actual Low Countries would be in French?

Qu'est-ce que c'est le Quai d'Orsay marked incorrect in quiz."If I understand the lessons correctly, there is no difference between Qu'est-ce que c'est que [chose] and Qu'est-ce que c'est [chose]. For this question Qu'est-ce que c'est le Quai d'Orsay is marked incorrect, and the correct answer is given as Qu'est-ce que c'est que le Quai d'Orsay. Is there a difference in this case ? Thanks"

In the exercise quelques livres is translated as a couple of books as well as some books. In English I was always taught that strictly "couple" means two and it's a misuse to use it otherwise. Can you explain why quelques therefore translates as some and two? Thank you.

The sentence in English states “In summer, I go camping”. In the dictionary “to go camping” = faire du camping, so “En été, je fais du camping” which matched your translation. I was surprised to see your final translation “En été, je campe” which I would read as “In summer, I camp” - I feel a subtle difference in nuance here. Sorry if i’m coming over as a bit picky

Imparfait after subjunctive? Just use imparfait subjunctive?

I just took one of the writing quizzes and am confused by two grammar issues: using imparfait after "bien que". The sentence: "even though she had already been camping in this forest for a week.

1. I wrote: "Bien qu'elle campait déjà depuis une semaine dans cette forêt" I assumed this is correct because we're saying "had already been" with depuis. However, the correct answer was supposed to be, "Bien qu'elle campe déjà dans cette forêt depuis une semaine" ( I thought the present tense with "depuis" would mean "was or has been"camping).

2. Also, since the verb is after "bien que" should we use the subjunctive imparfait: compât ? "Bien qu'elle campât déjà depuis une semaine dans cette forêt"
