If tu is informal and vous a more formal approach, wouldn't you use Comment vous vous appellez? when asking someone you don't know what their name is? In what situation would you use Comment tu t'appelle? Merci.

I think the lesson title could be improved if this was added (+ noun). Just a suggestion, merci!

The English text had the word "and" before "the basil", and I seem to hear it in the French audio in the short segment that accompanies the text. Surely "et" should be part of the sentence?

I translated "on top of" (the work surface) as "en dessus du" (plan de travail) rather than "sur le plan de travail".  When would you use "en dessus de" (or au-dessus de) instead of "sur"?

During the lesson it is explained to use lui/leur when you have the "à" before the object and to use la/le/les when there is a possessive pronoun before, for example:

"Il va appeler ses parents" --> "Il va les appeler"

So why using lui in this case?

The verb used is “se couvrir” but would ‘la’ precede ‘vous’ ? 

Is it that “vous” here is a Reflexive Pronoun ? If so , there is a lesson stating at Kwiziq that reflexive pronouns precede direct object pronouns -

I suppose that here vous behaves like an indirect object pronoun. Is this the justification?

In another lesson, it talks about not using mon, ton etc but using le, la etc. with clothing and parts of the body. Therefore, would it be better to say

"Le manteau est pareil, et la cravate est pareille " rather than "Mon manteau est pareil, et ma cravate est pareille" 

or can you say both or does it depend upon context?
