What I want to say is when we are ask
One mustn't talk back to one's parents.
On ne doit pas répondre à ses parents.
Your answer is " On " that is what I don't understand to me the question does not say We mustn't talk back to one's parents. so the answer should be "Un" if not why ?
For Indiana Jones lived through extraordinary adventures
I used "a vécu par" for "lived through". Is this incorrect?
Hi guys, just a bit confused on that example
so the rule is that:adjective is placed BEFORE a plural noun,
so in that example, obviously ‘beaux’ is placed before a plural noun, so why doesn’t it mean ‘I buy SOME nice sheets’ instead of I buy nice sheets?
thanks!
I wrote '`a moins que Bruno ne vienne ...' vienne is the correct form of subjunctive and 'ne' is needed after the conjunction '`a moins que'. I have read in lesson notes that the 'ne' can be dropped in a dialogue. However, in the short quiz which followed that exercise, 'ne' expletive was before the subjunctive verb in a dialogue. I don't believe I was wrong with my form of the subjunctive nor the 'ne' expletive.
In this context, could you also use 'certains courent, les autres crient' ?
thank you
Hello! Why is timid spelled timide in this case? Wouldn’t timide be feminine agreement and not masculine - referring to Tom?
By then : d'ici là.
Is that a colloquialism?
