Hi, could someone please explain a little bit in detail, the difference between face à and en face de ? Is the first one used for when one faces something, but I think it can be used otherwise too (literally/physically)?

This cannot mean - you were studying each day? If not, how would I write that?
I thought that - Les oiseaux chantaient = The birds 'were' singing, not 'used to sing'...
In the sentence: Tu ne peux rien mettre dans ce placard. Why is rien before mettre and not after?
