im sure this has been asked already but I can't get my head around why imperfect is used for "les festivités commençaient VERS vingt heures" and then past tense is used for "VERS vingt-trois heures trente, tout le monde s'est dirigé vers le terrain de foot" when both sentences says towards a time ???
I assume it may mean "how unlucky of being pregnant" but how do I know to add the " de/d' "
Think I've grasped qui v que (the youtube video v helpful) but am struggling with when to drop the e or i before a vowel. Any advice please?
Just done a test when one answer was ce qu'est and this one below:
Julien doit partir, ________ est triste.Julien must leave, which is sad.quelce quiThe English text 'she lay daydreaming for hours' is translated 'elle restait allongée à rêvasser pendant des heures'.
Does this use of an 'à + infinitive' construction imply some element of purpose (she lay down to daydream) or can it really be used simply to imply simultaneous activity? For example, could you say 'je fait le repassage à écouter la radio...'?
Is it also OK to say:
Il on a besoin avoir du bois sec as we as il faut avoir du bois sec.
SEC is one syllable - I thought one syllable adjectives went before the noun?
I appreciate the attempt but for me this project has been a failure. I still have no idea what I would be eating. I have so many questions about this last menu that I don't even know where to start. I am not even clear about the cost. So frustrating!
Tu as une soeur? Aucune!
Can I answer this answer as "Personne"?
Qui est là? - Personne.
I have noticed that my scores, which once sat at 100% in all 6 levels, sometimes move backwards to, say, 99% without my having attempted a test at that level. I do not do the quizzes in the daily emails but I do do the weekly dictees and writing tests. Can these have effects on the dashboard level scores? Or does Kwiziq just knock off some points if it is has been a very long time since you did a test. Or could it be that I did a "Test recommended" and it threw in a test for a level that was already at 100%, even though I had another level that was at 99%?
