Tu aimes la couleur violette ? Oui, ________ est très joli!This is a test question. I wrote "elle" and the valid answer is c' . OK, I get it, "joli" is masculine so elle is not appropriate, but shouldn't it be possible to say "oui, elle est très jolie"?

Does ecouter take a direct object?

I got an answer wrong in a quiz because I didn't have the participle agree in the case of listen: I listened to her. Is "listen" a verb with a direct object in French?

Elles ________ pendant tout le film !" They will have chatted during the whole film!HINT: Conjugate "bavarder" in Le Futur Antérieur

The correct answer was Elles auront bavarde pendant tout le film.

Why does bavarder here not agree in gender and number? Or am I missing something?

Please help, I have struggled with lesson for awhile now.

Use of subjonctif for "il est extraordinaire que ..."

On an test I received for this lesson. Kwiziq says "it is extraordinary that something happened" translates in French to "il est extraordinaire que quelque chose se soit passé"

My thoughts: "it is extraordinary that something happened" seems to refer to a certain factual event , already in the past, which is not a suggestion, wish, etc. , so why use subjonctif ? This clearly is not the same as "It is important for something to happen..."
