The phrase 'which seemed to have been left there' is translated as 'qui semblaient avoir été laissées là'.
Could you also translate it using 'y' rather than 'là' (and if so, where would the 'y' go ?) ?
in the phrase 'avec son architecture colorée.' Why is the adjective feminine when the subject is masculine ?
Thank you, Cécile. I must have overlooked that in the alternative possibilities! Évidemment is one of my favorite words! Not sure why!

thank you
nicole

I'm wondering why the colors do not agree with 'La jupe'. I would have thought it would be 'bleue, blanche et rouge'. Is 'bleu, blanc et rouge' invariable?
Why use 'sont' not 'est' ?
I think 'tout ce que' is musculin singulier
Not sure if question was clearly expressed!
