Why is en depit d’un prix très élevé wrong? 

Hi - Could someone explain why the phrase 'mais elle a toujours aimé cet instrument' is in the perfect tense and not the imperfect?  Doesn't the sentence imply that her 'liking' the instrument has no definite time frame and there is no indication of when or if she ever stopped 'liking' the accordion?  I also have the same question as Drew and Maren regarding 'mais elle l'a réussi' as an alternative answer to 'mais elle l'a eu'.  Thanks!

Notre clients projette d'aller a la concurrence.  Wouldn't "competition" be a more precise translation than "our rivals"?

In the test for this lesson there is a sentence "Tu arriveras d'ici lundi"  and the answer is  "You'll get here by Monday.".

Isn't this a wrong translation?  The sentence should be "you will arrive BY Monday(d'ici lundi). To say "you will get HERE by Monday" should be "Tu y arriveras d'ici lundi" or cringe "Tu  arriveras ICI d'ici lundi. " 

Unless the verb arriver without a destination defaults to "here".

Hi, the  lesson states that 'même si' means 'even if' and 'even though'. There are no example sentences of 'même si' being used in an 'even though' context.

Do I assume that all the 'bien que' ('even though') examples would work equally well if 'même si' was substituted for 'bien que'?
