Several people have written to us indicating they did not receive the weekend writing challenge, we're very sorry about this if this included you, we're resending to everyone just in case. If you did receive this email, please accept our apologies for the duplicate, we hope you enjoyed them first time around!
Thanks again for being a Premium Progress with Lawless French subscriber . This week's theme is Portraits - here are the writing challenges:
Level A1: Mimi the mermaid
Level A2: Who is this writer?
Level B1: I love swimming!
Level B2: My grandmother's rosebushes
Level C1: In the lives of the writers of French romance novels
Note: It is possible to retake challenges - you'll find a link to do so on the final scoring page.
These tests are self-scoring, so after you translate each phrase in turn, you'll be shown the correct French to compare to yours so that you can give yourself a score.
After each question, you'll find links to lessons on the grammar covered so you can easily add tricky ones to your own Notebook.
In these writing exercises, Kwizbot offers corrections for each phrase, to help you pinpoint your mistakes as you self-score.
Please note that this feature is in BETA, so you may encounter the occasional bug or glitch. Please do let us know about these by responding to this email so that we can get them fixed asap. As always, screenshots and information about your system (OS and browser, including versions) is extremely helpful. We'd also love to know what you think about the new format and function: good, bad or indifferent.
Already on our improvement list:
- Eliminate need to include speakers' names in dialogs
- Ongoing improvement to the correction algorithm
- Option to turn off corrections
I hope you enjoy these challenges! Please don't hesitate to let me know what you think of this format!
